You don’t need a palatial house or a landscaped garden. You don’t need to take out a second mortgage. You don’t even need to struggle with a hundred and one instructions before you can enjoy it. The garden gazebo comes in a range of affordable styles and sizes; and it’s easy to assemble. Honest!

The gazebo is the classic garden hideaway, party spot and outdoor living space all in one. It’s a touch of the al fresco lifestyle for us shy and retiring back garden folk. It’s our chance to take the indoors outdoors for six or seven fragrant spring and summer months.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a slot together steel structure, pop up or permanent; a gazebo is an open, ornamental structure, supported by columns and enclosed by a roof, that is designed to let in plenty of light and air, whilst still shading you from the sun.

A gazebo can blend right into your garden space, whatever the space – and whatever the size. Pick the right gazebo to enhance that space and you’ll add a whole new element to your garden. The important thing is not to think of it as a utility, but as a beautiful structure in its own right. This isn’t the garden shed we’re talking about!

Gazebos can be enclosed at the back or sides, or completely open. Rear walled gazebos are perfect for those barren spots up against the garden wall or hedge; whilst the open ended structure can be erected right in the middle of the garden – festooned with trailing plants and awash with colour, it‘s one sure way to add interest and a focal point to your garden. Some models even come with their own built-in planter bases.

Of course it’ all very well dreaming about summer barbeques, and Pimms on the lawn, but what happens when the summer ends and the strawberries run out? With careful planning your gazebo will nestle into your garden vista without you even noticing. Of course when you do see it out of the corner of your eye, it will still be a pleasant reminder of summer months whilst you’re shivering through the depths of winter.
